Update update!! Whewww! Haven’t opened my account for weeks now. Thanks to all the new followers, I have no idea how you saw my blog but I appreciate the love!!

So the reason behind my shortcomings LOL, is because I joined a model search and I was blessed to be part of the top 15 for the females out of those 51 who went to the audition. It’s one of the biggest model search in the country that’s why I was surprised to receive this kind of opportunity. It is where the well-known models in the Philippines were discovered and trained.

Wilma Doesnt, Zanjoe Marudo, John Estrada and many more started here. And the best part is, the model search is the brain child of the Fashion designers Association of the Philippines!

Honestly, the final screening was tough. I was lining up with 5’9” to 6’1” young girls and I have never felt this little in my whole life. Hahaha! A lot are already professionals and been in some grand fashion shows. The pressure was on from the beginning up to the minute the official candidates were being announced. I was soooo nervous, my stomach is already aching!! Hahaha! :) But I think it was all worth it when I heard my name called to be one of the top 15.

Can’t wait to go through the trainings and activities. I feel like I’m in the America’s next top model!! :)) LOL!

Since our country is a tropical one, and other countries think that it’s an everyday sunny day here, we do still acknowledge and enjoy the summer days. Maybe it’s because it’s the best time of the year to relax, take a break from work or school and just bond with the rest of the family. :)

My summer is doing better. Aside from school vacation, less stress and more time to chill out, I find this season very youthful. Youthful in the sense that, though it’s scorching hot, people are very much happy unlike before. And the main reason for that is because there are zero typhoons visited Philippines. Annually, there are over 100 typhoons (not accurate) which sometimes leave some parts of the country very much devastated and wrecked. Most lives are taken away, farmlands wiped out and homes totally ruined.

I guess the Sun really symbolizes happiness and hope. I remember when I was a child, I would draw the sun with a smiling face in it. :) And I do believe that Mr. Sun wears a smile all the time.. :)

Another blog update about how summer is getting my way. Lol. :) Thank God for the weekly swimming at the A-venue hotel at Ayala. I won’t be demanding to go to the beach unlike before. I’m a bit contented in the pool. Haha!

Back Bows

Besides on enjoying the vacation, no school, less stress and more time to bond with the family and friends, somehow, summer makes my life a bit limited. Because I have no allowance!!! :D

That sucks when you’re a student, that’s why my sister and I decided to sell some of our clothes to earn though it seems so desperate. Haha! So no allowance means no shopping for me. And that made feel so sad everytime I go out to the malls or even when I see online shops promoting their summer sale.

Since I don’t have the right to complain, all I can do is to rely on what’s inside my closet. Luckily, I found this top which I have only worn once. Maybe because it is so hubadera type and that it’s hard to pair with anything cuz the lower part is so short to be a blouse and too long to be a corset. But I just want to take this out for a spin since it’s worthy to flaunt this summer. Thanks to these two bows which makes it more sexy. :)

A little trip.

Finally went out of the city!! I can’t remember when was the last time I did it. Me and my fambam went to Tagaytay yesterday. I missed going in this place ‘cause we usually go here when I was a kid. It felt so good to be back. :) The air is so cool and fresh, which made me a bit sleepy. Haha!

Here are the few photos I took when we were at the famous People’s park. Honestly, I felt sad about how devastated and wrecked the park is now. I can still recall how colorful and beautiful the place was. But somehow, I realized how many people still go there besides the old and ruined structure it bears. It seems like your Tagaytay trip isn’t complete unless you go up there. :)

It’s a colorful summer

Here’s the outfit I wore on our second stay at the hotel. :)

Thanks to this striped bag for making me look like I’m going to the beach!! :) (Sorry for the blurred photos! I suck at editing. Lol.)

Made this cover up shirt as well. J It was from my dad’s old XL shirt. I have seen this kind of design lately and so I decided to make my own.

Here’s a simple tutorial:

1. Cut the sleeves longer than the usual to form a muscle tee. You can search a DIY on youtube if you like.

2. Cut the lower part of the shirt in strips just like the photo above and you’re done! You can cut the multiple hems as well but I chose not to, on mine. J

I like to wear the flower crown this way. My big head just wouldn’t allow me to wear any headbands I want but I won’t let that hinder me from putting this on!!!! :) Hahahaha!

Few weeks ago, one of my favorite fashion bloggers ate Mariel hosted another blog giveaway. (I love calling her ate though we aren’t sisters!) She was giving away a flower crown courtesy of Little J Accessories. I’m very much hopeful that I will win ‘cause I felt a strange thing crept up inside me and left me with no worries about the 100% possibility that I may not win. BUT I DID! :)

When the package came, I was all smiling and gliding that’s why the delivery guy asked me if it was something important, but I wasn’t responding ‘cause I’m in so much awe while signing the paper he handed me. Lol. I don’t care if the guy thought I was an isnabera, atleast I have my flower crown already!!! :)))) Hahaha!!

I have been a huge fan of this girl for quite sometime already. Not just her unique sense of style caught me but her amazing skills in writing. I just wished I knew her right before I started my blog. Lol. I’m learning a lot from her already!

Another great thing about her is that she interacts with her fans just like an ordinary friend. Not all famous bloggers do that. And because she got my heart from the very first time I visited her site, I decided to start reading it until her very 1st post. :) And now I’m all done! :)

I would always look forward to her ootd posts and tweets almost everyday and I can’t wait to see what more she got. I just love her!! :)

Swim!!

I can’t remember when was the last time I went to see the beach.. Or even go out of town with my family and breathe the freshest air I could. Honestly, I really envy those people who post their pictures facing the sea with a caption: “A day to relax outside the busy streets of Manila!” OR “Nothing beats the cool breeze the ocean brings!” and the worst, “It’s indeed more fun in the Philippines!” which makes me more hopeless and covet to see the exquisite places of my country. *insert sad face which’s sadder than a normal sad face* Lol.

But before I could actually attempt to swim inside our water tank, thankfully, mom told us that she booked an overnight stay at the Serenity Tower located in Ayala. I know you could imagine how big my smile was. Haha. J Then she added that the hotel’s pools look so good. Now, you could better imagine how bigger and irritating my smile was, huh? J

We stayed there last week and I was very much in delight as I swim in the cleanest and coldest pool in the world! Haha! That made me want to go back there and luckily, mom had a meeting there so she asked us if we could go with her and swim again as well. No more follow up uh-uh’s, we said a big yes right away! J

Forgot to blog about our first stay so enjoy the heavy and random photos! J

I actually made the shorts. Seen a lot of this kind on online shops lately, so I tried to make my own. DIY has been my thing these past few weeks. Maybe because I was greatly inspired by those people whom I watch on youtube. You can really learn a lot of DIY tips and tutorials from them. :)
